MonieKing Microfinance Bank Ltd was formerly known as Chibueze Microfinance Bank Ltd, reflecting its evolution and renewed commitment to providing innovative, customer-focused financial solutions for individuals, families, and businesses.

Located in Aba South, the bank traces its roots back to Alaorji Community Bank Ltd, established on February 28, 1995, and later renamed Chibueze Community Bank Ltd on January 5, 2000. With its rebranding as MonieKing Microfinance Bank, the institution continues its legacy as a grassroots financial partner, providing innovative and affordable solutions for the unbanked and underbanked across Aba South and beyond.

Driven by a strong public service mission, MonieKing MFB combines creativity, innovation, and sound microfinance principles to deliver meaningful financial impact. Between January 2007 and January 2008, the management developed a comprehensive operational manual to strengthen its service delivery before commencing full operations in February 2001 as a Unit Microfinance Bank Limited by Shares.
